I want to start a project for a friend of mine. A full splice cocobolo sneaky with BEM or curly nose, hoppe ring and ivory joint fitted with a 314 shaft. Any recommendation for a good cuemaker who can do it under a year and for a good price ?
Also, a question about the ivory joint. Can I use something else ( ex. Ivorine ) that can produce the same hit ?

Jerry Olivier does some full-spliced cues sometimes.


As far as Ivory substitutes, deer or elk antler is a great material for joints, and costs much less. Here in TX, builders can get the stuff for free practically.

Give them a call, my guess is they can do this for you, but I'm not sure about the ivory. It might be $150 and take a month based on my recent experience with ordering a slightly modified "stock" sneaky pete cue without the Predator. I believe they do offer Predator shaft options.

Leon Sly, he just built me a player and it has a stainless joint with a ivory sleeve, It hits like a freakn dream. I couldn't be more satisfied. Im really glad I had him build me this cue, I will be posting pictures asn soon as my wife has time to help me on this puter thing ,,lol. <<<:grin: ED
