Sniper Cuetip

I'm from the Philippines. I bought a Tiger Sniper tip from my local cuemaker and let him install it in my cue shaft. The cue tip is colored brown and I was wondering if it's original since the pictures of this tip I see in the Internet shows that it is kind of blue/white/silver. Do I need to worry?

Please advise. Thanks.

This is what a Sniper looks like when new

It takes on the color of the chalk you are using after a while

So the one I got is really not a Sniper? I'm faked :( Mine is really brown (did not take the color of the chalk, it is naturally brown). Or is there any old version of the Sniper?

Can you post a picture on the tip of your cue?

It is too hard to tell what tip it is from the picture.
It does look like the layers are coming apart or it was incorrectly installed.
Some installers burnish and colour the sides.
But it does not look like the colour of a Tiger Sniper tip to me.

Well, I watched him install the tip and it seems he installed it the right way, he knows a lot of things when it comes to billiards. For ordinary installations, you shouldn't notice that there are layers if it installed correctly?

From the pics, its hard to tell what kind of tip it is. Better pics would help.

It's easier to tell what it isn't than what it is. Let's face it, cue tips don't have many distinguishing characteristics. If I'm seeing things correctly, the layers in that tip look really inconsistent, and it seems very suspect. It could just be the poor photo though.

I don't know why you are hell bent on using a Tiger Sniper tip. I tried them and they aren't worth anything. You will find that you miscue more often with these tips than almost anything else you try. Buy something else instead of losing sleep over it.

It's definetly not a Sniper unless the installer did color the edge.

A Sniper color looks similar to the area below this message. Kinda greyish/blue.

Also I've never really seen the layers like your photo on a Sniper.
