! It's just that like beer, a Sniper tip has to be liked by means of "acquired taste", at least IMO. When I first installed one and began using it, I didn't like it at all. It felt like I had put a piece of hard rubber on the end of my cue stick. I honestly felt like cutting it off right then and there. I didn't panic though as I had read the many posts on here saying you had to play with it for a couple of weeks until it starts feeling right. I did and sure enough it started feeling and playing better (although I pocketed 29 of the first 30 balls I shot with it initially). Then I got some advice on here about taking several layers (or more) off the new tip for better playability. This trick seemed to put the tip over the edge. I am really beginning to like it now. It could eventually replace the Everest as my favorite tip. Not yet though.
If nothing else this proves the point that if you try a new tip out and don't immediately like it, give it a few weeks of hard playing before giving up on it.
