Hello. I am stuck deciding between a sniper tip and a kamui black ss or black soft for my new Predator Ikon 1 with 314-2 shaft. I like all 3 of these tips, and I think the black soft will be a little too firm for my taste on this shaft, but would like to see what everyone thinks. I've mainly played with snipers, but have slowly been becoming a fan of the Black Kamuis. Only thing I am asking of everyone who posts in this thread is to give me a good explantion about feel (their opinion). Thanks.

Well,

all of em are good tips. Even the usualy installed Everest is good. From my side i would choose Kamui SS or the brown version from Kamui :) Just because i had no bad expirience with both til now.

What was the bad experience? From my experience the past 2 days, I am not a fan of the everest. It doesn't feel as good as the kamui or sniper to me (JMO). I like the feel better with these 3 tips. I'm torn between these three tips, but need to pick one for consistency. Thanks for reply Ratta

The last tip I used on my Predator was Sniper. I thought it played too soft with a soft shaft. I'm now using a Kamui med and it feels much better.

i switched from a kamui soft to sniper and prefer the sniper. the kamui would glaze over often. not had the problem with the sniper after 2 months of play.

KB Medium with a predator shaft every time. If you hate the Everest as much as me, the medium is the way to go - I put one on my Ikon and it didn't feel too hard to me at all, and the hit is fantastic.

Disclaimer: I HATE soft tips, esp on Preds.

Thanks for the votes and replies everyone. I am thinking a softer tip would be better, but i am partial to softer tips. Keep the votes and replies coming.

Curious what people's opinions on Moori are compared to the Sniper and Kamui.

I currently play a new Mezz that came with a Moori. The combination has a firm feel. Just wondering when it is time to replace the tip if I should change.

ive tried all 3 and currently use tiger onyx and prefer it to all 3 on my predator shafts. The hit is firm and get super action on the cue ball and retains same hit as new for a much longer time. I find that the kamui blacks feel rubbery and seem to have to much rebound on firm hits and are a little difficult to judge the amount of follow on force follow shots.

If you like the softer tips why not try one of the Milk Duds repressed made from Elk Masters... I recall someone on here selling them for a few bucks a pop in the for sale section....

I would go with the Onyx. It is a better version of the sniper in my opinion.

I tried a couple Kamui blacks on my pred 314 shafts and one came delaminated about half way up after a few weeks. They leave a nasty black mark on the cue ball if you miscue or even come close to it. The super soft isn't, especially as time wears on. I prefer the brown ones by far.

I was not happy with my Kamui Black Super Soft at first, as I was miscuing with it when it first was put on my cue. I think it was just too tall. I played with it a great deal even though I had problems and wore/shaved it down some and it is working GREAT now.

I'm just had the Kamui soft tip(thought I ordered the super soft) put on and it seems good to go so far.I also got the chalk to go with it.It might be a mental thing but I seem to hitting a bit better with it during practice.
