milk duds

Are these milk duds harder than sniper or kamui blacks (ss and s)?

If you like the softer tips why not try one of the Milk Duds repressed made from Elk Masters... I recall someone on here selling them for a few bucks a pop in the for sale section....

I was not happy with my Kamui Black Super Soft at first, as I was miscuing with it when it first was put on my cue. I think it was just too tall. I played with it a great deal even though I had problems and wore/shaved it down some and it is working GREAT now.

It's hard to spend twenty bucks on a tip and then cut half of it off and throw it away isn't it?

If you like Snipers I say stick with em. I use Snipers and actually started with one when I came back to pool. I tried a bunch of others including Kamui black SS, S and M and I went back to Sniper every time.

After spending a bunch of money trying tips I literally found something I have heard a thousand times. If it's not broken....don't fix it.

After starting with Sniper I tried Everest, Moori III medium, Kamui black SS, S and M and Kamui tan medium. I know it's very subjective, but I would rank them: Sniper, Everest, Kamui tan M, Kamui black S and the rest don't matter.

Curious what people's opinions on Moori are compared to the Sniper and Kamui.

I currently play a new Mezz that came with a Moori. The combination has a firm feel. Just wondering when it is time to replace the tip if I should change.

go to a kamui soft or super soft i love it

Pro Height Tip

It's hard to spend twenty bucks on a tip and then cut half of it off and throw it away isn't it?

Not really, at least not for me and I like to save a buck. The tip even after it is cut down lasts me about 4 months of daily use. That amounts to about $.15 per day. I can live with that. The tip is the most important part of the cue and I want it to perform its best for me. When the tip is new and very high, it just doesn't act the way I need it to act. That may sound kind of crazy but I find a performance difference between a full height tip and a shortened height tip. The extra $.15 savings per day isn't that important to me, especially when I believe I play better with a shorter tip.

Personally, I wish the tip manufacturers would make a shorter tip. They could call the model THE PRO HEIGHT TIP, save money on the number of layers used and create a whole new market for cue tip afficianados. Then again, maybe they've already tried that.......

I've been using a sniper for @ 3 years now. Never used a Kamui, so I'm not qualified to vote.

I play @ 12-15 hours a week and got @ 20 months on my 1st sniper and still have a ton left on my second! I lightly scuff it a bit after @ every 6 hours of play. Like someone said, if it ain't broke... Just make sure you get a good install!
