Snooker balls/size

I am not sure if it an optical illusion or not, but after watching several frames of snooker on youtube, it appears that the colored balls are a fraction larger than the reds.

Or to put it another way: the reds appear a tiny bit smaller than the colored balls .

Is this true, or am I seeing things?

The balls are supposed to be the same size. In my experience, new ones are the same size within 0.002 inches.

Thank you all. I had to ask because the hall I play at has a 10' American snooker table--or, a 10' pool table with modified rails. Their ball set must be two different sets cobbled together because the reds are definitely smaller than the colors. The colored balls are numbered, so I'm thinking that American snooker balls are 2 1/8 while the British sets are 2 1/16, or something like that.
Thank you again.
