I think he is 9-3 in matches across both events. He beat Yapp, Oi, Aranas and He. While lacking in the jumping and kicking departments and being behind even some serious recreational players in positional knowledge, he has serious skills that give him a chance against anyone in races to 8, 9 or 10. I think it's only a matter of time before a snooker or English 8 Ball (or Chinese 8 Ball) players goes really deep in a Matchroom 9 Ball event if they get a slice of luck along the way. I'm convinced a top level carom or pyramid player would have a similar chance. Doing this on a regular basis is a completely different scenario and would require a player to really work at the game and devote a ridiculous amount of time doing so.
