Snooker in Hong Kong

Perfect timing, thanks. I'll be there in 6 weeks and have been wondering about finding some place to play.

Perfect timing, thanks. I'll be there in 6 weeks and have been wondering about finding some place to play.

Glad to help. If you find a good place, please post a follow-up. I won't be in Hong Kong again until later this year.

So far I've only been to General Snooker Club, a decent enough place. I seem to recall they had a league and regular tournaments.

Shahtin Fun City

This past Xmas I played at Sha Tin Fun City in Hong Kong, a four-story entertainment complex with snooker halls on two floors. I didn't check the count, but the total number of snooker tables is reported to be over 70. Every table I saw was a proper 6 x 12.

These are photos from my phone; my wife took the second one. I was the only gweilo ("ghost man" a.k.a. Caucasian) in the place.

After breaking as player A, Rethunk considers what to do as player B. That's a tempting leave on the red.

Will that cherry go in the corner? That is, will it go in the corner for someone like me?

Doesn't look like Hong Kong at all, it looks like heaven. Thanks for posting a preview of the afterlife.

China Fleet Club in HK used to have two 6x12 tables upstairs. A couple of Chinese guys "hustled" me.
