Just curious if anyone has ever played one pocket on a snooker table with snooker balls or pool balls? As a sidebar, has anyone ever seen a dedicated one pocket table that has only the two corner pockets? All other pockets are billiard-table-ish or maybe even more interesting rounded......?? Instead of a 90 degree angle they'd have a radius.

sure its been done but its a totally different game. Balls in the pockets and their removal are totally different proposition. Joplin Mo. used to have tables with only two pockets for their version of 1p. Balls were racked at opposite end from the pocket end. They're all gone now. IMO snooker tables aren't worth a shit for 1p. I think a good 5x10 pool table with 4.5" corners would be perfect arena for the game.

I played it on 2 separate occasions and as Gar said it's just a little too phony. Removing balls from pockets is just too easy and the game just doesn't play right.
In the action days at the Rack in Detroit the biggest action by far was one pocket on a 5x10 snooker tab……
……pockets were snug but not trap.
