Snooker - The Crucible Final

I'm watching this just because i always do and the fact its from Sheffield means a lot to me, but this has got to be the worse final i've ever seen.

Ebdon is the worse advert for snooker that i have ever seen,
 
ebdon misses after a break of 31. easy pot of pink in the middle. dott now in controle off the TABLE BUT MAKES A MISERABLE 7 BREAK; LEAVING PETER ANOTHER CHANCE; peter nows misses his first easy red, and leaves dott back on the table.not something u want trailing 14-17.
 
Score 24-31 for Ebdon still but Graeme at the table, with a few reds still available. Score 31-31 Ebdon at the table taking on a long pot.......misses. This could be it....Graeme has one difficult redtakes on the pink makes it...two more reds....makes one in the middle....develops the last red....misses!!!!!! That was for the championship. Ebdon needs a clearance.

he finishes at 31-31 square, and cb in safety place...

ebdon misses a ut of a easy safety and leaves dot in with a easy red. dottt on a break of 8 and rolling
2reds all open and only blue tight vs ...the rail... should be finished... AAARGh he misses a straight pot. ebdon on the table and score is 31-53 for dott. but he misses a easy red too.. amazing bad shots.. (mmm can this exist?) safety now

Dott misses! If he potted the last red and a colour he would of been World Champ...

Looks like Ebdon has fluked a snooker.
 
Safety play now, Dott misses the red once again. Oh no this is it. Ebdon left the last red in the pocket, Dott pots it and black and is now WORLD CHAMPION!!!!

peter misses a red in the jaws, dot takes over and clears for the match. Dott wins with 14-18
 
Dott wins in a new record late finish, alost 1am :eek:

Even this marathon was shown on live TV, almost 6 hours on uninterrupted LIVE coverage, yes NO COMMERCIALS!!!


Was quite gripping in the end.
 
Well, who would have thougt, Graeme Dott. He was 80 to 1 outsider at the start of the tournament. Beating Ronnie in the semis was a huge achievement allready. I didn't think he could have stould up to the onslaught of frames by Ebdon but he held his nerve at the end and really deserves this win. Glad I made it to the end. Congratulations Graeme!

p.s. This was fun guys see you next time.

Its good to hear Dott won. Losing in the final twice would really be a lot to handle. Although anybody who has ever lost a world championship final, has nothing on Jimmy White!

I bet there was times when you had to slow down or your comments may have overtaken the actual events! :eek:

Did turn out to be not a bad climax actually, Im only kidding.
