I saw more action in the local pool hall in one night from what I call "scavengers" that were begging for any kind of action they could get and begging for spots from all of us claiming we were uber league players. So quick question, anyone else experience this rabid turn out of non normal gamblers preying on the so called "weak" league players??
Just curious.

Yeah because usually the top league guys are still weaker than the average pool hall junkies. Alabama though def has some champions in the APA...you should steer those guys to Robert Hall and see how much they like it, my guess is they'll never ask another league player to play again.

The place I play out of

Doesnt really have a monster stick that's well known, we do have a couple of good strong sticks. And this league is mostly comprimised of junkies. lol we all spend pretty much everyday in this place, and everyone knows everyone, but there are a few players that think league play is pointless, and I dont much care. I play to enjoy it and league play is a different stress and working harder in a quicker amount of time to me.
Anyway the guys that were showing up were people who come in once in a blue moon, and i've gambled some of these people and they consider gambling a race to 10 for 20. Which isnt bad if you're just wanting to pay time and whatnot, but its just interesting to see the entire group of what we look at as the rare show ups come in begging the regulars [ who happened to be in the league matches] for anything.

I'm not complaining, heck i made 50 bucks on side action last night. I'm just saying is this typical or atypical and i was just curious if your average joe who comes in like once a month really needs to be on the regulars like that?

Also this is the first apa season we've done in this particular place, so its a new experience.
