I recently picked up an Vintage 60's Rich cue with a pokey frayed nylon wrap.
Last night I decided to try installing a leather wrap onto it. I took a picture of it with everything I used to do the job (except for a piece of sand paper) and a couple pics of the seam. The cue is also for sale here; http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=344756

I don't know much about wraps besides the thickness of materials will differ, I'm give you a high five for effort, looks clean.

Batter up! That is a baseball bat.
Nice seam for a rookie.
Nick :)

Hi Nick!

Thank you again for our last transaction. That was very kind of you.

This cue is really a great example of that time period with the materials used, the widely tapered butt, and the old marbled plastic.Very 60's

The seam on my wrap really showed up more in pictures than it does person. I was kind of surprised when i saw them.

I was just so irritated by the pokey wrap, and since I had a leather wrap left over from a project that I provided the wrap for, (I wanted to have a spare for the cue maker just in case the first one wasn't perfect)....I said Hmmm .....I have an idea...

The fumiest part is, I never even had to leave my desk chair. I have a small "tools and stuff box" in my desk that contained everything I needed to just sit and do it.

wrap results look great.

a few months ago ,i, too, decided i would put a leather wrap on a cue i had. don't remember what the cue was offhand. but, i did find that if you are getting Mr. PI involved, one must have an accurate caliper. i have neither an accurate caliper nor a leather wrap done by me.
