Fender and Gibson are the best Guitars out there, I play a Gibson Les Paul, made in America. It has the Curly Maple top, same woods I use on the Cues.

If you want to check out some really amazing guitars (acoustics), search Ray Kraut, who is located in Eugene, OR... An amazing craftsman and great guy to boot. Although still waiting for someone to take me up on my kidney offer to get one of his incredible guitars.

Some of the woods he uses are spectacular.

Interesting story, Dingwall Guitars was for many years in the basement of a large warehouse building, but it burned to the ground. He lost all his wood. Luthiers from around the world shipped pieces to Sheldon so he could keep making guitars.
