Soccer versus Pool...

Yeah? Find me one soccer player hotter than Jasmin Ouschan.

Easy...

This is a losing battle... though shanelle loraine does it for me.

Nobody except Earl cares what Earl thinks. He's not "all there" so can't blame him for that. Nobody even knows who he is but hard core pool fans. He is funny though

BTW pool is something soccer players (or other athletes for that matter) play after they play soccer

One activity is a "sport" the other is a relaxing "past time". Walking indoors around a table isn't athletic event.

I thoroughly enjoyed that enter view. It was some real stuff. I do agree with you that pool is a sport and soccer is a relaxing past time.

You seriously have to be kidding. Have you ever seen the some of the girls playing college soccer on full scholarships? Hanging around pool halls isn't really the goal of attractive girls....with very very few exceptions. It's not exactly great exercise to keep their "figure".

I was just watching the opening ceremony (recorded) to the FIFA world cup being held in Brazil.

They said that there are 20K professional soccer players in Brazil...

Compare that to 15 professional pool players in the US and you get an idea of how low pool has become as a sport in the US.

There probably aren't 5000 professional pool players in the world.

i just spit coffee - i should have seen it coming!

yep, they take that "soccer thing" seriously. my English friend, plays EVERY weekend here in NC (even if it's 10 degrees). talk about radical. then add rugby into the mix. Brazil is Portugese, so i guess it's a Euro thing.

PL <---- my mailman grosses $60K + benefits

I still believe there would be 100 times as many things for people to ***** about if pool becomes even remotely as popular as some think they want it to be.

- I can't ever get a table without reserving it a week ahead of time and the table they gave me is too close to the Hookah Lounge
- McDermott has a 2 year waiting list for cues
- Balabushkas bring half a million at Sotheby auctions from guys who don't even play pool.
- Justin Bieber was horrible in "The Color of Money 2"

I agree! And soccer is a real relaxing watch. 0-0 = snoooooze!

I'm from Spain. Soccer and indoor soccer were my hobby since I was 5 years old, I played it nearly all days until 16 years old, then less because of my studies... until I got into pool world when I was 23. Well, I don't remember my last friendly soccer match, maybe 2 or 3 years back, but I play pool every day and means 10x more than soccer ever did.

PD: my nickname in my city was something like ShotShot because I was always playing soccer :)
