Soft Cases

I've always been told that you should never get a soft case for your cue. I see that the new trend seems to be these soft cases that fold in half. I was thinking about buying one. I like the look of them and the way in which they open, but will my cue be safe?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :thumbup:

It depends on if you are talking about keeping your cues from getting nicked up or are planning to drive over them with your truck.

Soft cases obviously do not provide the maximum amount of protection from damage violently inflicted, but a well made one will keep the cues apart and protect from getting dinged and that kind of stuff. The advantage to a soft case is typically they will hold the most cues for the least amount of weight. I wouldn't recommend one if you are checking it into the belly of an airplane.
