Has anyone used the software at: http://www.caromsoft.com/BSS.html to keep score while playing 14.1? If so, is it any good? I am looking for something to not only keep score, but also that will track things like my average run, high run, and my history against a variety of opponents?

I happen to like the look of it, its a little simplistic but in all honesty I wouldnt trust something more complex to the players where I play lol.

after playing with it a little, i find when it comes to the fouls it is not accurate.
if you get a foul then shoot a legal shot it does not wipe the fouls out.
maybe we can write to the auther of the program and explain the situation, and have the problem fixed.
i still really like it, it just needs a few tweeks !

I didn't get much feedback when I posted it here a couple of years ago so I wasn't aware of any problems at the time. I am fixing a couple of other issues with the software and will post here when I have the fixed version available.Tom
One of the things I would like to see changed is the "Entire 14" button changed to "the rest of the rack" button with the corresponding change to the number posted.
Can a clock be added, for the entire match (not a shot clock).
Could this be networked to allow the TD access to all of the scoring in a tournament? This would help in time management and let the TD know if he needs to put a particular match on a shot clock.
As a single game tool this is really nice. I'll try it during a couple of games with friends in the basement.

I've added a "scoring dashboard" demo to my site. I'm using it to enter games that I have recorded on paper scoresheets, but am trying to build it to allow "live" game use. Still in "beta"

depending on what type of phone you have they have an app that most everything your looking for. for instance i have a htc incredible and i downloaded the app, it works great and its portable goes anywere you take your phone. oh and best of all it was free. i know this isnt exactly what you were asking for but i hope it helps
