Some Cues About Finished

Veneers on these are a lot better than the others I posted. The Tulipwood 5 Veneer isn't perfect, but it's not too bad. Other two came out pretty good.

The cue with the green / blue / blue / black veneers has black / blue / green rings, but it's kind of hard to make out in the photo.

One small suggestion, work with your supplier to get some straighter grained handle wood. The bottom cue seems to have pretty good runout in the handle blank. Even at that size, it can(not always) cause problems down the line. With all the nice work you are doing on the other parts, don't forget the foundation of the cue. Please take that as a positive comment. I also noticed that your points are getting closer to each other just above the wrap, that's great, the closer the better.

They are actually Brass Rings. Here's a closeup. I usually use a different camera that takes better pictures, but I was too lazy to go out to my car.

When they're complete, I'll get some better photos.

Thanks for the tips on the Handle Wood. I'll remember to be a bit more selective next time. These are the first cues I've made that are getting wraps, so never given it that much thought yet.

Nice work Tony, your points look really good, and thanks for sharing. My work will be there in the near future.

Have a great day!!!!

Great work! Nice selection of colours there, especially the one that ends in yellow & green!!
