Some of my old pictures

Here is picture of Jim Rempy and one of Jim Rempy with me.
This was in the 79 or 80 at the first Switzerland Open 8 ball tournament in Bern Switzerland.
Jim wasn't playing. He was there to give an exhibition and pass out prizes.
I only tied for third.
The guy that tied with me was from Norway and took everyone's money afterwards :)

He beat Efren is his prime in the Philippines – Manila Race to 60 and it was not even close look at this crowd you see any Varner fans lol

I think when Efren was asked why he lost to Nick, he said, "He never missed."

He broke and I made 3.
He started to run and when he got to 50, I ask him who he really was.
When he told me he was Nick Varner and he was in town to give an exhibition at the Junior College. Then he continued he run to 100.
He invited me to the exhibition where we did some simultaneously shots. Then he said for his next trick, he would run 100 balls.
Now that table had a strong roll off and you couldn't shoot soft.
He ran 100 1st try :)

You have some great pictures and stories. I appreciate you posting them.

I have one of the three white box cues like the one Nick is holding in your first picture. Mine has a different buttsleeve in the backend.
I have posted pictures of it elsewhere on AZ in the past. The forearm can be seen in my avatar.
