They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, in which case Mr. McWorter must been feeling he's been flattered all over by "Miranda", an enterprising Philipino cue maker listing this little beauty on Ebay:

Ebay vs Original

That one is HAND made. I bet JM is flabberghasted.

Yeah, all that lazy bum McWorter does is hit the switch and let some big fancy CNC machine spit out another masterpiece ;-)

I see similarities between the TWO CUES, but upon Close Inspection of both Photos Side By Side there is a definite DIFFERENCE.

I would call the Design McWorter Inspired, but no a McWorter Counterfeit. IMO.

You are damn right, the McWorter cue is MUCH better made. If you at the two there are tons of really fine detailed inlay work on the McWorter that are simply missing on the "Miranda". The entire cue is like this, with the overall layout copied 100% from McWorter, but then simplified all over.

I did not use the word "Counterfeit" deliberately, as this suggests a deliberate attempt to fool buyers into believing this is genunine McWorter cue, which is not the case. Instead the manufacturer has directly copied a McWorter design without even crediting McWorter for the "inspiration" and then executed it in a cruder fashion. Admittedly there is a 0 or so missing from the price compared to the original, but that is no excuse for plajarism. And if you really want to scare yourself look at the large photo of the ends of the shafts, what the heck are those inserts doing on a cue with a 3/8 10 joint, and do they look concentric to you?
