I want to extend a big thank you to Professional Pool Player Adam Smith as well as to Cue Maker Dick Lanz.
We had a recent tragedy in our city, when one of our young pool players was killed by a drunk driver. We were having a benefit to help the family and I reached out to Adam asking if he could donate a cue for us to raffle off at the benefit. Adam discussed it with his personal cue maker Dick Lanz and they went above and beyond donating a beautiful custom cue worth over $800. Adam then drove three hours to make sure we got it in time for the benefit. It was far more than was expected and the family was very touched.
With all the negative things we hear about in the pool world I wanted to take the time to share this positive story of two good people in our pool community. I know both Adam and Dick made new fans in our city.
