I want to share with you my childish happyness for what I have read on the official website of the World Cup Of Pool, held in these days in Wales. Along with some of the biggest pool stars from all over the World (Rodney Morris and Earl Strickland for USA, Bustamante and Efren for the Philippines just to name a few), team Italy (Fabio Petroni and the relatively unknown, but very good player, Angelo Millauro) has moved to the second round, playing very good.

My happiness comes also from the good comments that the related article made about Italian players' pool clothing, because I happen to be the designer:) .

http://www.worldcupofpool.com/article_detail.asp?article_id=73 (some good pics in the gallery too :p  :) )

I finally found a pool related job and I'm doing my best to succeed in it, and these good critics are worth a lot for me.

If this post goes anyhow against the policy of this forum, please don't ban me, just move or delete it and I'll be back to talking and, most of all, reading and learning about pool as I've always done. ;)

Congrats on getting a nice unsolicited thumbs up for your product in the write up. I don't think anyone can blame you for being thrilled. ;) Good luck with your continued success.

:)

Those are VERY nice looking shirts! Congratulations! Can you post more pics of them please? And maybe some other designs you have done?

Thanks Linda, I really appreciate. By the way, congratulations and good luck for the next IPT event. I watched live on Eurosport TV your match vs Sigel, desperately rooting for you! If you hadn't missed that long 15, who knows... ;) I hope to be able to join you soon, I missed the qualifier in Rome for a shoulder injury...:(

You can see (almost) all of my models on my website www.play-pool.eu (ooops... it's in my signature ;)..). Some new woman shirts are coming up soon ;). I'm planning to come to the US Open (I'm already announced), if we meet I'll introduce myself!

Snapshot: You're not the first to ask about pool shoes. I already have drawn(sp?) some ideas, if things go to the right way I'll try a small production.. Take care!

Thanks Timberly, same for you at the Open! ;) (you'll be the one with someone kissing your a**, won't you?)

Thank you! Yes, I nailed that same shot when Sigel took a break. :(

I am SO going to order every one of your polos! You ought to try some long sleeved button down shirts for wear in the IPT (and nice mock turtlenecks.) I absolutely love your designs. I hope you can make the order page in English... I don't know how much your things cost...I didn't see anything listed.

And your pool take on the Last Supper is awesome! You should do a T-shirt that says something like, "Are you willing to bet your Last Supper on your pool game?" :D

Snapshot was being cute because there was a whole long thread regarding pool shoes.

I am not going to be at the US Open - do you have a booth when you go? - so I won't meet you there, but hopefully in the near future.

Tom,
Very nice, love the 3ball sweater zip up. You need to do a website for us US dollar shoppers. How do the sizes relate to US standards. Is everything a little smaller. Get the word out, you have some nice products. The Dog

So Tom, where can we see some of your pool clothing that is available for the retail market? Good luck.

My friend Craig won't be at the open this yr so I guess I won't have anyone kissing my a$$... LOL, you'll just have to recognize me by face as opposed to the a$$ kisser attached to me. :p

What products are you bringing over? I'm definitely interested in a thing or two. ;)

Thanks a lot to all of you for your kind interests!

Linda: No I won't have a booth at the Open, I'm coming there to play and, of course, to show my stuff to anyone interested and possibly find a deal with some potential US dealers.
My products are, for my personal choice, made in Italy. All of the most expensive ones (sweaters, polos) are totally manifactured here, by very reliable Italian tailors. The quality is the best I could find, 100% cotton, maybe the fact that I am a poolplayer has helped my research. The prices for these items go from 40 euros (more or less 50$, for the model Fabio and Angelo are wearing @ the WCOP) to 95 euros (120$, the sweaters). Only for the t-shirts the material is imported, but styled and personalized in Italy. The price is around 25-30 euro. All retail prices. (btw, if you click on a single item on www.play-pool.eu you'll have a window for each, with a bigger picture and the price in euro.

I am closing a deal in these days with some new producers, that will be able to guarantee a bigger production and a better shipping process, and I'm counting on that to enter the American market.
The English version of the website is under construction, and in a few days it will be ready with US dollars prices. I really hope to find a reliable US dealer to make things easier for American customers, for now I can ship orders by express courier.

For the sizes, I don't think there will be a big difference between US and European ones. Some of the t-shirts are fit-style, some others are not. It depends on how you want your clothes fit to you, and how many beers you drink a day... ;)

Timberly, I still don't know what -and how many- products I will be able to bring with me at the Open, you know my purpose is not yet strictly commercial and the rules for import are very firm. If you PM me what you like I'll try my best... :)

Like many other poolbusinessmen here, I will apply a smaller price for AZrs (it's been good for me a few times, now it's time to give something back ;)), you'll be informed when the US version of the website will be ready.

I tried to answer all of you questions in one single post not to abuse of this forum. For further info, please PM or e-mail me ( francesco.tomati@play-pool.eu ).

Thank you very much and, btw, congratulations to the Italian team, that defeated the strong Finnish team to make the quarterfinals vs Vietnam!!! :D
