Soooooo,,,,,,

I heard that the man who funded the event, Robert Mercer, stopped doing carom. That's a problem with events and organizations that are dependent on a single person.

A second event was planned but it was canceled.
I was just watching caudron/ merckx finals match from there and (Kurt?) Ceulemans was commentary with a USA pro sportscaster of some note.

The room was super nice and the camera work was top notch too. I guess the players stayed on site too?

Anyidea where that took place?

First place prize? $150,000.

That was a helluva show. Beat the shit out of bonus ball!

Was there supposed to be a new one?

A patron is certainly obligated and entitled to the Man.

A 2020 edition of the McCreery was in the works, in an advanced stage of preparation, when the pandemic hit. Everybody involved, the Mercer family included, was deeply disappointed. Efforts were then made to put the event on the calendar for 2021, but Mr. Mercer had multiple health issues and the pandemic wasn't over. We (collectively) gave up in late 2021. I quite agree with you that it is sad the taped matches from 2018 have never become available to the public. I absolutely disagree with you when you suggest something "stinks to high heaven". I was on the Board of the McCreery and I can assure you that unfortunate timing was the entire reason the second event never happened.
