Southern Classic Fatboy style elite all around

I think it would be awesome if they could have like Fatboy style tourneys at the southern classic with the derby tourneys but make them more elite like...........

Long Rack Banks - race to 5, One Pocket - race to 5, Rotation - race to 7

1000 dollar buy ins, single elimination, alternate breaks.

8 man fields possibly or open up and see what happens. Could have like 4 tables just for this.

Have like tourney and all around prizes.

I have wanted to see something like this happen for 3-4 years ever since I got back into pool and first went to the derby I think it would be amazing.

Who else would like to see? Any other ideas?

In all fairness to Fatboy, you need to acknowledge that tournaments do not get better or more elite than the Fatboy Challenge. The fields at that event are unbelievably strong. In addition, they race to FIFTEEN. Not to demean the DCC, but a race to 7 in Nine Ball is an exhibition; a race to fifteen (in Nine or Ten Ball) is a freaking CONTEST OF SKILL.

Having said that - I would definitely love to see a Straight Pool Challenge as done at DCC.

Sorry and good news

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough, what I was meaning by elite was making the games more elite stepping them up like the 9 ball banks switching to full rack banks and the 9 ball to rotation, and yeah the big race the better 15 still could get better but you got the time constraints so makes since.

Also with time that's why you'd keep the field small and Single elim and basically almost double the races from the derby tourneys 3-5 and 7 to 13 I think even though I'd put 7 the other post by mistake.

Also yeah I read in another post that they are gonna do some Fatboy style tournament down in tunica on the 10 foot tablehowling a be awesome.
How bad would that be if it was rotation race to 15 winner breaks :thumbup:

Also they said if there was interest they would do the str8 pool challenges and stuff.
