Southern Classic - One Pocket

Shannon's game is heavily defensive, and slows the best players down to the level where they are taking low % shots and leave shots. Even-though i like Justin, or Ryan to win, but they have no chance with well experienced one pocket player, not like Scott Frost shoots crazy shots and hope they go, cannot do that in real one pocket.

I'm pretty sure the top 3 left in a field like this can all play"real" one pocket

I am surprised, Shannon used to be good shot maker he upsets me big time, but i guess ageing up is not good for pool, hope he come back an win other tourney!!! Justin is great player- he needs more practice on shots with CB frozen at rail, hope he wins 9 ball for trifecta!!!!that will be really good.

I don't think anyone will dispute that Shannon is on of the best onepocket payers ever with as much knowledge as anyone...however the the new young generation like SVB, Stone, etc can many times out run knowledge with not missing balls due to how much they are playing. You don't have to know all the moves if you don't miss... Shannon spends more time running his GSBT tour and kudos to him for giving back and promoting pool in that way.

Shannon is a great player but, it's not like Justin is inexperienced. He was beating up on shortshops at the age of 13-14. He may have taken a couple years to sow his oates but it looks like he's gonna show us what he's got now.
Damn, did he put the hammer down or what!

Great job Justin!!:thumbup2:

Shannon was at the top and saw what it was like. I don't think he is interested enough in it to feel it is worth the effort required.

It takes a unique mindset to stay at the top for a decade or 3.

Thank BB, i might disagree with you, i really think he underestimated their skills in one pocket and let his guards a little, also, had that match early in the day he might have done much better, who knows, but i know one thing for sure if i put money on his last match i would have lost big time!!
