Congratulations to Melinda Bailey - 1st Place Champion

Woo Hoo - Melinda aka Trigger Bailey won the women's singles event at the Southwest Amateur Tour #1 this weekend.

It wasa triple elimination event and in the finals it was Melinda (with 1 loss) vs. Rebecca Goodnight (with no losses). Melinda had to triple dip Rebecca which she did with the following scores on a race to 5;
1st set 5-3
2nd set 5-1
3rd set 5-0

4th place - Kim Pierce
5th place - Ashley Nandrasy
6th place - Michelle Cortez

You guys and gals are so cool! I have great friends who are so supportive - I am so lucky. :)

It was a great tournament... (okay, I'm being biased)... and.... it was my Birthday on Saturday, so it was a wonderful present! :D

AND FOR ALL TO READ: My long-standing goal was to win a tournament in my 30s. Yesterday, I reached that goal!!!! My first tournament win! Wow - I'm still in shock!

I can't believe I triple dipped someone?! :eek:

Congrats Melinda, great shooting! Now they may have to start calling you triple dipper trigger. Actually, I kind of like the sound of Melinda Trip Dip or Tripple Dip Bailey. Time for a nickname change?
