Southwest Cue order wait is over

You know it’s a public forum. So when you put your shit out there like this people are going to comment both negatively and positively. He didn’t even shit on the guy for waiting he just commented he couldn’t. That’s how the internet works. Your welcome. .
Your beeswax sucks too.

I just emailed and told they were working the 2006 orders. I thought i put my order in 2007 but she informed me I am grouped with the 2009 orders. gave her my new email and phone numbers. So maybe another 5 years?

it's a different business model for sure. if the demand is there most businesses would upscale. but i guess the wait itself adds a certain unobtanium and thereby value to the product. anyone know who does the actual cue building these days?

Bobby - I thought the same thing and I got mine ordered a few months ago. I think it was 7-8 months ago and asked Laura if I could get to me by Christmas, and she said probably not. I think I heard 9-18 months after order is placed.

I thought like you before I started adding everything up. I intended on getting a total of 4 shafts but when my order approached $7K with 2 shafts, I settled on just the 2 shafts. I did get her joint protectors and the ebony and cocobolo woods with 3 veneers in the cue. Make sure you post pictures when you get it.

I hit with one that a guy waited 12yrs to get. Played ok but nothing to write home about. I just don't get the cult-like attraction to these. Hope the OP likes how it plays.

That's probably why you see so many butt ugly SW cues for sale. When the time finally comes people have sticker shock and end up getting what they can afford not what they really want. Pretty sad if you think about it.

It's funny too, even the ones that look like K mart cues get oohs and aahs. No one dares tell the truth and butt hurt someone who just had their dreams shattered.

If you knew anything about Bobby then you'd know he wasn't sweating anything about the SW order -- certainly not sticker shock, lol.

Also, having just looked around, I wouldn't go talking so much about butt ugly cues if I were you.

No way in hell would I wait that long for a cue
It was only like a 8-10 year wait at the time of the order. I have had plenty of cues I've used several cues to play with the last 17 years. As a collector I don't even play with my Bushka or Szambotis so I will manage and I don't have a Southwest in my collection. When I receive it I might keep it or seell it or use it in big trade deals. As long as everybody still buys them and Laurie Franklin is alive the Southwest shop will still be making cues.
