I was not going to be posting for awhile but a friend who has a new 2005 southwest cue with 6 points and points that look like Hoppe points and veneers and looks to be a maple forearm has decided to sell it and was wondering if he should put it up on here for sale or have me post it on e bay for him. he is trying to get an idea what it might be worth. it has 2 shafts and has been played very little. He has only had it about 1 1/2 months and is getting a new Mike Webb custom cue. So can anybody on here give me an idea what it might be worth. I will take a picture and try to post it. i have never posted any pictures on here before. or maybe i could send the picture to somebody and have them post it..................mike

$100-150. And I'll take it. :D Post pics. Lets have a look.

Fairly new southwest like you describe should sell on ebay for around $1,800 give or take $200. Ebay will get their cut, and paypal will get a sizable cut as well if you decide to use it. I'd list it with no reserve and hopefully you're account has good feedback.

Waste of time of time posting it here in my opinion. Southwests seem to get top dollar on e-bay (at least considering the lousy state of the cue market).

Doug

$1600-$1700 is a good price if its in mint condition.I think you'll have a good sale on Ebay or the forum and get close to top dollar.Southwest's are very popular for the collectors and the pool shooters who have the cash spend to shoot with a great playing cue.

Price you'll get depends on how many veneers in points, whether or not cue has AB rings, the quality of shafts, weight of cue, woods used, and exact condition of cue including any dents, dings, or scratches. Another factor is your patience. If priced right the cue will get snapped up right here on AZB with no commission fees to pay. If you do not have references or a track record you will encounter fewer buyers willing to take a risk and hence may not get top dollar. Even though cue sales are a bit soft in general there is always good demand for Southwests--especially since production is slightly down this year.

Mike,

Is the cue located up in Albany where you are? If so, let me know. I'm down in NYC and would be willing to make the trip up there to negotiate a deal. Forward me pics to my email when you get them. Thanks!
