I've never even heard of pernambuco, but I'm assuming it's a type of wood. Does it have an alias like some other woods do? I think Laurie only lists about seven types of wood. I have seen some SW's that have different wood than what she lists though. There's a gentleman in North Carolina that told me he had one of Jerry's cues and that it was made of bacote. I never got to see it though.

I have a collection of pernambuco woods.
I've made one cue out of pernambuco.
It's one of the best hitting woods imo.
It's so rigid and tonal, it is used for violin bows.
