Southwest Pernambuco Cue

Showed my South West to Mike Bender a friend and even if South Wests designs don't press Mikes artistisic talents he said it was done well very striking and he did say he thought Pernambuco was the best hitting wood

There is a big reason why they are the wood of choice for violin bows.
Rigidity and tone.
 
We'll I got the cue with two standard 13mm South West shafts in case I decide to sell it one day and 1ea 12.6mm shaft that I could play it. I have had it a week today and so far I have managed to win one local small 8 ball tourney and one weekly 9 ball tourney. I can't say its all the cue but it didn't hurt.
 
I don't want to cause Laurie any problems but I wish to thank her for utilizing my wood for the cue that South West built for me. First and for most I want to STRESS that South West DOES NOT utilize customer WOOD!!! It cost me EXTRA to do so and I had to send Laurie the wood and have them verify and approve it. I also had to release them from any liability should it not turn out. Happily it turned out and Laurie was even very complimentary about the cue. I hate to say it but South West could even see doing another Pernambuco cue. My saving grace is Pernambuco is on the CITIES list and finding another 50 year old AAAA piece of Pernambuco will be TOUGH!! To date this is the ONLY Pernambuco South West Cue.

They are tough to find indeed.
Years ago I lucked on some curly pernambucos .
I have a few left and still searching for more .
