Southwest Shaft on another cue

I have a pile of southwest shafts with various different joint collar styles.

If I have a cue that already has a southwest style pin in it (the shaft even screws on) but the joint collar on the southwest shaft is a little too wide for the cue is it trivial for a cuemaker/repair person to add me a new joint collar so that it will fit flush on the cue?

I'd really like to have a cue for when I travel with a southwest shaft but without the concern over the cue getting stolen. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I am not a cue maker, but I know one that lives close. They can do almost anything for a price. You might want to post this in the cue makers section to get more responses.

Cuemakers can do just about anything with a cue....

About 15 years ago a buddy of mine had a local cue maker put a SW pin in a Tim Scruggs sneaky pete butt. I sold him an old SW shaft from the 80's with a micarta ferrlue on it. Still one of the best playing cues I've ever hit with.

why risk the shaft either if you're working on the why risk it logic. send the specs to shmelky and have them build you a sneaky to the same specs

Any cuemaker can turn down the joint end of the shaft on a lathe so the collar fits flush to the cue
