if you dont mind me asking.....why no rubber bumpers? the butt cap is still drilled.... 2 nice looking cues just wondering...

Butts are dimpled...

Sorry I couldn't help it... The indents are for centering on a lathe. You never know.

I used to play with a Rambo made the same way. No bumper gives a livelier hit.

A rubber bumper damps the vibration.

Was the ivory joint and butt cap put on by SW or another cuemaker?
This information would clarify a lot of things for me and other potential buyers.

thanks

Richard did all the ivory work, joints, ferrels and buttcaps on both cues.

Not taking anything away from Mr. Hsu, but why wouldn't you send the cues back to the original makers for these upgrades. You are asking a fair amount of money for each cue, so I need to know.

Waiting for years didn't seem necessary.

Southwest is very busy with years of backorders. They most likely wouldn't do it anyway. Richard is able and available.
After the Southwest was done it seemed the Drexler would get the same quality work so.....

Pool cues are pieces of wood and some other stuff. The magic is in the hit. The maker is secondary except when the cue is strictly
for show or collecting. I would never buy a cue and not chalk it and play pool, or billiards or snooker.

These cues are excellent players and still have intrinsic value by virtue of the beauty and materials.

Thanks for your attention.

There are dents in the wood at the buttsleeve from chucking up on it to replace the buttcap?
Is there a similar set of dents at the forearm from replacing the joint?
