Hi,

May I enquire from all the folks here about who makes a good SP blank (nice wood, good price and customisation options eg. longer points).

Pictures of the blank and cue as well as hit/feel reviews are appreciated!!!

schmelke is the correct spelling, and yes they make awesome blanks, i had a local cuemaker make this cue for me out of a schmelke double spliced blank and its beautiful and hit very good(but that has mostly to do with the shaft not the butt)

John Davis

John Davis makes probably some of the best blanks in the country. His full splice blanks with veneers are $350 and I think he will make a sneaky blank for a little under $200. You're gonna have to to try real hard to find a nicer guy who makes a better blank.

Here's a picture of a Davis blank cue made by Cash cues. It's got really nice wood and longer points that are sharp on the top and bottom. I posted a couple more pictures in the gallery section it you'd like to look.

Davis does nice work! I have a Davis spliced blank. I will be sending to Richard Black- To make it more rare,and a better player. mark
