This guy needs help. Hes had the ever present sniffles and frequent bathroom breaks all the time hes been in atl and last night at the pool room he went off the deep end. He sucker punches a guy that asked him about 100.00 that he loaned Sparky. Yea sucker punches him. The guy had his hands in his pockets and Sparky roundhouses him. Before anyone tells me i dont know the whole story i was there and heard and saw it all. No excuse for his actions. There were about 20 people who witnesed this.

I first met Sparky in Houston about 3 or 4 years ago. He was running with Keith Bennett, they were and I think still are friends. At that time Sparky played Ismael Paez 10 ahead for a couple of thousand, and Paez won, due perhaps to simply being rested. They started at 10 at night and finished at 10 am at Boogies. Later I called Sparky and so a limited extent backed him and Keith at one of Tommy Kennedy's tournaments. As good as Sparky was (he might be better now), and as really good as Keith was, Tommy just murderized them. Sparky to me is sort of a typical very good player, that is, most of the time he is down and out.

Sparky is a great player. How was he hitting 'em at the IPT qualifier? I haven't had a chance to catch up on all my reading, but I remember that he was playing in it.
He is serious about competing on a professional level, and I think he's got enough game and talent to get there. He has always been very pleasant in my company when I've seen him on the tournament trail. As they say, there's always THREE sides to a story. In this instance, it's Sparky's, the guy who got "sucker-punched," and the truth.
The North Carolinian Young Gun did make the trek to the KOTH in Orlando this past December. I hope this is just an isolated incident or misunderstanding. I do know he likes to engage in games of stake, and sometimes funny things do happen when it comes to action.

No fluidstroke is right. Sparky got hot and suckerpunched the guy. I was standing 2 feet away from him and Jason? ( I might be wrong on the name, Help me here Alice) and tried to break it up before it got worse. Fortunately, security was also 4 feet away as well. I think there might be legal reprecussions for Sparky in the near future...

Hey JAM,
I do not recall seeing you at the IPT Qualifier in Marietta, Ga.
To let you know I saw Sparkey being held by the nap of the neck & being escorted out, by rooms security. Sparkey was the one that thru the sucker punch.
