just watched the newest propoolvideo match and seen his cue...it looks pretty...just wondering if anyone knows what it is and if anyone has a picture of it.

It looks like a real nice cue, but I couldn't see it close enough to even guess who might have made it. Maybe someone who's seen Sparky play or knows him can post what kind of cue it is.

I think its an Olivia' custom. It has scrimshaw all over the butt and a snakeskin wrap. Very beautiful cue and nice woods.

Olivier makes a great playing cue. I always thought they were undervalued on the resellers market. Does anyone know where he got his start in cue building?

Maybe they meant Jerry Olivier cues:confused:

Dem R good Qs.
I think you are right, but I wasn't sure. There are so many cue makers now it might have been something new on the market and I thought i'd ask.

Sparky's cue is a Jerry Olivier purchased in Cookeville Tn

I sold it to him. Also took in his old schon in trade if anyone is interested Jerry Olivier is refinishing the cue now.

Sparky's cue is cocobolo forearm and butt w/ 16 points (8 front/8 reverse) all in Ivory with scrimshaw design throughout the points depicting an alien scene with really nice abstract art and etching.

I have begun my business selling custom cues and billiard promotion officially and have opened the sight: 2themoon.net
which is still undergoing a lot of work as of now.

But since you asked... you can see a picture of Sparky's cue taken when I owned it at MY myspace address:

comments are welcome. I sell custom cues and specialize in Jerry Olivier cues. I also have 2 full legnth Titleist cues to make custom cues with soon.

Jeremy Jones won the US open in 2003 with a Jerry Olivier, runner up in 99 to Johnny Archer with an Olivier.

Hillbilly won his first major with an Olivier custom cue.

Jose Parika won player of the year in Camel pro tour in 97 with an Olivier.

I have played with an Olivier for 10+ years and played my best with it immediatly after switching from a nice hitting schon.

Cheers
