Speaking of jump cues, the big boy comes out Tuesday

The new Air Rush comes out Tuesday. Heard it's going to be $599. Figured it might be $499 but I guess since all other 29" Revo shafts are $499 that the air rush shaft would be the same plus some for the butt.

I'm probably going to purchase one as I have $70 off on Seyberts with my Seyberts Bucks pending. I'm a huge fan of the Revo shafts and the Rush has been a big success for me, so figure might as well try it out.

Good for you and the other members that, like myself, like to try new products. I look forward to hearing your impressions of it!

$600 is quite the price point considering most other full carbon jump cues are between $400-450.
Yeah it's up there for sure. Cannot confirm that it's the exact price until we see it tomorrow, just asked a dealer last week and that's what he told me. Wouldn't see why he would fib though

I know a predator dealer and have tried this. If someone is looking to get one, you will not be disappointed in your purchase.

I like my BK Rush and I like trying the new stuff as much as anybody but $600 for a jump cue is over the line for me. I’m sure they are great but I can’t imagine an air rush being $300 better than my Hanshew or $200 better than the Propel. To me there’s realistically only so much one can do with a jump cue and my Hanshew easily does everything I need it to.
Anyways that’s what I’ve been telling myself for a couple weeks now so I don’t impulse buy one lol.

This makes me really appreciate my 30 yr old Lucasi jumper, remember those, autographed between the points by 4 HOF players with a uni lock joint.Hardly use it any since one pocket has become my game of choice.

Found the specs on the air rush:

2 piece: 40.25 inches / 8.1 ounces
3 piece: 51.5 inches / 12.1 ounces

Shaft is carbon fiber but the handles are maple.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For comparison, the specs for the cuetec propel are:

2 piece: 44 inches / 7.75 ounces
3 piece: 47.46 inches / 11 ounces

Shaft and main handle are both carbon fiber.

Thought I saw the air rush has the weight bolt system so those numbers can change.

$599 on Predator site, holy jeezus.

I have the Air 2 and paid about $180 but it works wonders. Dont know how it could get any better honestly.

I tried this jump cue yesterday. It jumps better than anything I have tried in the past. It is $800 Canadian where I live that makes it $904 with tax. I just wont pay that much for a jump cue.

Yeah, that is way too much money for a jump cue. I thought the ~$1000CAD price tag on the BK Rush was insane when it first came out, but at least with a break cue you're sure to use it regularly, but I've gone through entire tournaments without using my jump cue a single time.

If people will pay it, but damn, for a jump cue?!

All a good jump cue needs to be is a stiff shaft with a hard tip and enough of an handle to make it 40 inches long while keeping it as light as possible…

As just one example, my Jacoby is 7 ounces, cost $160, and jumps like a freaking kangaroo. There are those out there that are probably just as good and cost even less…

One thing to keep in mind with jump cues though is it's more about your fundamentals then the cue. If you don't have good fundamentals, then it doesn't matter the cue, your are not getting over the object ball. The technology today though was way better than back then. Personally I wouldn't spend $600 for a jump cue but if someone wants to, then more power to them.

Predator has to use weight bolts because wood production isn't consistent. Every Propel is the same because with Carbon Fiber Cuetec can maintain their weight and tolerances with no additional adjustment.

I'm interested in the JB version of both the Cutec and Predator carbon offerings, I'll gladly trade off a bit of performance to eschew an extra stick in the bag

wondering how these might compare to an Andy Gilbert JB which seems to run around 500.00

They sold out everywhere very quickly. Didn't purchase one from the 1st batch as I haven't hit a ball on a long while due to my back issues. So no immediate rush. Will get one sooner than later though.

Had a propel, wasn't thrilled with the 14mm diameter.

Predator has the air rush listed as 14mm too.
