Spotted ball one pocket shot.

You're right about the kitchen although the shot could fall into your lap. SO, in games where the money ball(s) are wild and re-spotted...

Airborne because there will be a slight hop when you strike. The shot is in very close quarters like a straight rail shot.

You need to experiment with the cue ball location. As I said, I can't make the shot. I was shown the shot repeatedly and it went every time.
Where would the shot start from though?

Where would you put cb with ball in hand?

I'd start on the right side from the foot of the table if the left side pocket was available. The cue ball needs to be in carom position. Start in between within a half inch of the lower ball and experiment. Doesn't require force or anything.

OK got this to work with two ball bearing cue balls lined up and shot with a much lighter Aramith ferrous.

The two balls in line are actually larger than the Aramith but what else is perfect. Otherwise, they are lined up perpendicular to the end rails. The side pocket is of course 45 degrees off the head ball. Shot downwards slightly right of dead into the lower ball and had to add a touch of right, possibly because of the heavier object balls. Did the trick though. Very low speed shot. Just enough to be agonizing for anyone on the paying end.

No apology for the ratty gear. It is what it is.

Which is the head ball?

So like this?

That's it.

Gotta be the top r) one. If it isn't, I don't wanna know.

So, he described a carom off the left of the two top balls...I am calling foul if the head ball goes straight in the side.
Correct again. Only way I could get it to work. Although, I do shoot down at 60 degrees give or take. I'll try it with pool balls later on.
Is there a ball in hand rule that states you cannot freeze the cue ball to another ball?

And the cue ball hits the back ball and then the head ball?

Looks like it might be similar to a "2 times fuller frozen cue ball" shot (see below).

Froze would ostensibly work without jacking up except in Texas Express. Maybe. Something like this could turn up froze in one pocket so assimilating the dynamic is probably worth the bother.

Hoo big woids...
