I wanted to replace the Predator leather lux wrap with a solid black stack leather wrap. I am no cue builder but this didn't come out like I had imagined. See the pictures attached let me know what you think.

Thanks

David

That looks like crap. Not sure if part of the reason is black leather was used (I have only ever seen brown) but if I would be irate if I payed somebody to install stacked leather crap and this is what I ended up with. Who did this?

I saw the work that they do at tiger products. That is one of the reasons I wanted the stack leather. But, I sent the cue to a reputable builder instead to get refinished and at the same time I had requested to do the wrap. I'm still waiting to hear back from him. I spoke to other cue repairmen and I was told that this wrap can not be fixed or salvaged. I would need to get a new one. Sending the cue out tonight to get fixed.

Looks like something that belongs in the tolite bowl

Tiger did not do that wrap, that much I'm sure of .. I'm hoping the OP tells us he thought he'd give it a try himself, for the first time.

Buddy that wrap is not good, in fact it's terrible.

So, inquiring minds and potential future victims want to know - Who did that marvelous work?

Tiger products didn't do this. I should have sent it to them. From what I have seen online they do excellent work.

I understand that you do not want to mention who did the work.

I think that's great. Apparently who ever it was is attempting to make it right by you.

Let me ask you this, if I may, did Mullers not do the work?

I appreciate your answer.

Thanks. :)

This was not done by Muellers. I am sending the cue to Muellers to get fixed. I can't send the cue back to the first builder. I think he is just too busy with the SBE coming up. I just want a refund from him. I have been in contact with Ryan at Muellers, I am confident he will do his magic and put on a nice wrap. After talking to him and searching on this forum I decided to put on a kangaroo wrap.

Thanks for the info, it is appreciated.

What a hack job!I could have did better with the leather shoe laces from Walmart and a cheese grater. You really should mention the person who did that, even if it only saves one cue from future destruction.

I've been told by a couple cue builders stacked wraps are for tennis rackets and baseball bats, definitely not for pool cues. Never tried one myself but it seems to me like a way to hide a small wobble in a cue and just blame it on the stacked wrap.

I'm having Ryan from Muellers install a stacked leather wrap on my BK2.
I'll post pic's when I get it back.

Man that is BAD. Did you check with Steve Lomax? He is supposed to be the best at wraps. Best of luck getting it fixed.

Tiger is very fast also...As soon as they get it they call you and double check what you want..They do wrap and ship it back the next day...Really happy with Tiger on wraps..

And who ever did that stacked wrap looks like the took it off an old tennis racket. I can't imagine it got beat up that bad installing it.

refund

If for some reason he does not refund the money for the wrap work. Any ideas on how to get a partial refund from Paypal? I made payment on Feb 1st. I cant remember if it was gifted.
