i read that in the 1980s tim stamped his logo
then in the late 1980 (1988?) he changed to engraving them via his pantograph
does any one have pics of either logo they can share??
can you scruggs experts date a cue this way???
obviously once he started putting dates on cues (1990?)
you know when it was made
thanks in advance for any pics/replies

just curious
i have gotten bitten by the pool bug after many years.....:)
and trying to increase my knowledge
i know its the indian and not the arrow
but a better arrow does better work..
also as im learnng about cues i admire/appreciate the talent and effort involved in making a cue both from the playability and aesthetic points of view
the cues and cuemakers you all show here are truly amazing
its a graduate school level of learning and seeing the masters works
i want to thank you all

Ask Bob

He might rember. Mike and Tim put whatever logo they thought would look best on everything Custom they built. So Cues after 1984 you never know.
Merry Christmas Larry to you and yours,
Nick :)

happy holidays nick and to all:smile:
and thanks to those that have and will respond
the logo i have in mind is where the TS is not all black
but the T and the Sare outlined in black with white inside
sort of like some j/ps i saw where the T and S was white/gray outlined and the background black of the j/p filled the space inside
wish i had a pic........:embarrassed2:

I think it depended more on butt plate material rather than era in most cases, though even that may not be exact. Here are a few examples though, from 1982, 1993, and 2000. The first two are in Delrin buttplates, and the third is in Ivorine 3. First two are, I believe, engraved, as I can feel the depressions around the lettering, and the third has a smooth finish, so I'm not sure of the method.
