All the best to you Mike.
Our prayers.
You really have a great attitude about all this. I love your fighting spirit! Reminds me a lot of my elderly mother who was 82 at the time and her attitude during her treatment. In her second week of radiation on the way home from treatment she insisted that I take her to Basset Furniture to buy new furniture for her living room. I tried to beg her off of the idea but she was not having it! Everything at Basset is custom made to order so going there is no quick trip either. She was so happy to in her words get the old crappy stuff out of her house!!
One of the most important things regarding cancer and the process you go through in treatment is, to stay "normal" as much as you possibly can. Keep your normal routines, keep your normal mindset, dietary routines, etc ( as closely as you can within medical advice / direction ). It is vital, literally, to survival, that you really do consider everything you're going through as just something else during the course of every day that needs done. Like watering your lawn or washing your car or getting up to go to work. Sounds as if your mom wanted to do just that... something "normal", to make her home more attractive, etc... I'm guessing she made it through the entire thing with flying colors. At least I hope she did.
Thanks for the kind words.
Tarpon?? Pics or it didn't happen!Hey Mike, I hope it's all going good. I've been tarpon fishing the last eight days and heading to myrtle beach for a bit, but I should be back soon to make fun of nine ball. You know, to help keep things normal.

Prayers for you Michael, I know it's a tough battle but you can do it! My wife has been dealing with cancer since 2011 and it can be exhausting to say the least but you have to keep up the fight and stay positive. I'll keep you in my prayers for a speedy recovery!
Thinking about you every day, Michael....
...which is unusual for me...never tried thinking before.
Thanks 8cree, appreciated.
Z's on the up n up. He's probably caught more tarpon then you've even seen photos of!
I hope it didn't come across the wrong way. I wasn't doubting the mans angling abilities. As a fisherman, he knows the old adage of "pics or it didn't happen" !
As a coastal angler myself, I love seeing pics of caught fish, and tarpon are a coveted catch. They are one of many on my bucket list of fish to catch as well!

Well yes and no. She did do extremely well with her surgery and treatments but she did ultimately lose the battle to the cancer. Her cancer was a Glioblastoma(brain cancer). She had the main tumor removed and came thru surgery great. Then we did chemo and radiation and she did ok with that too but over time she was losing her baseline abilities and ran into some setbacks. Pnuemonia for example and then later she had a seizure both of which meant trips to the hospital. The time off her feet hurt her ability to get around and she was wheel chair bound after those admissions. Sadly the tumors came back and this time surgery/treatment was out of the question because of her age and declining baseline.
The positive in this is she did get almost two more years of life after the tumors were discovered and she was able to stay at home for most of that time. She was real sharp mentally too until near the very end. So feisty and determined! She would give me hell about things sometimes too, especially when she thought I was going to fast while driving her around in her Big Buick!!![]()
I want to apologize for the thread hijack here. This thread is about you and your treatments. I am still a little raw about things as momma passed away February 6,2019 with me holding her hand at the hospital.
