In the tournaments that have mulitpal divisions Like Masters, AAA,AA, B at same event, some think that the added money and payouts should be stratified and reflect that the stonger skill divisions pay more money. i know some groups that don't handicap one event like BCAPL and ACS each do it different.

Iam of the belief that the higher skill levels say AAA should get paid more then AA, even though they may have only 30% of total players at event.

What is the logic to do it either way??

More equals more

Higher level players and divisions typically pay more entry fees and either higher green fees or more overall table coin because of their longer races. This alone warrants more added money to that particular division.
Also, if you want players to play in the division they belong or play up, this is certainly a way to help achieve that.

Entry fees being the same, maybe a 'added $$$ per player' formula would work.

With a minimum $$$ added per event.

The more players the more added money. Those players that wish to support a certain event will be rewarded with more added money.

All events will start with a minimum $X000 plus $xxx per player.
