Kiamco beat Hatch 13-11

Thanks my last 2 games got cut off also. They explained how to log back on but that didn't work. Glad I could found out who won though!! The stream was. awesome apart from that. I watched off and on for 15 hrs. The only match that was tough to watch was. Wilke vs Rodriguez . Wilke plays so slow it's even annoying from the rail. But over all thumbs up😆👍

I watched the PPV all weekend and it was fine all the way through until the last couple of hours. Every so often, I did have to refresh my browser, which is normal really. The last couple of hours there was a lot of freezing and the final 2 games did cut out on all of us (18 viewers left).

This being said, I don't really see any point in asking for a refund, because I know how hard it is to risk everything up front to provide a PPV event. I would guess, at this point that they only made about $300 for all their work after expenses are paid. I did receive over 16 hours of excellent matches and It was nice to be a spectator for once instead of worrying about every little detail.

When I streamed the Andy Mercer this year, we had issues with the final match between Shane and Darren and the stream was cutting out. It was a nightmare because the whole event went smoothly except for this portion of it. Luckily, our audience was sympathetic and nobody asked me for a refund. I think I issued one refund for a man who didn't know how to login at all, but that's a different case.

As a consolation, I made it a point to upload the final matches between Darren and Shane within a few days. I would hope AZBtv does the same soon.

All in all, I would recommend supporting PPV events from these guys. They work really hard and the only way for things to evolve and get better is by trial, error and feedback. I won't be ordering the 14.1 because I'm pretty broke these days - The life of a live streamer.

My only real criticism would be that they should have someone on their team working from the location to provide customer service. There are dozens of people who don't know how to log in to the PPV in the first place even though it's pretty easy.

Good luck guys and overall great event! I was not bothered by the commentary, by the way. Snooky is actually pretty knowledgeable and if anyone disagrees with the quality of her work then you have a right to your opinion.

I agree, it would be an extremely nitty move to ask for a refund. But staying up until 4AM to miss the grand finale was disappointing. Overall, great steam from great folks..

I'm not a streamer, but from a laymans perspective, wouldn't it be better to open the stream to a potential repeat audience of 2000 people and sell advertising space? Surly they could generate more than $300 in advertising revenue to a focused audience of 2000 people.

This is another reason why I don't like to do tournaments as PPV. I think it 'bottlenecks' the audience and reduces the much needed exposure that pool needs. Many may argue that there is too much content out there already, but I disagree. This is a sport that constantly emerges in real time. Players are tracked and followed on streams much the way celebrities are tracked and followed on twitter. Audiences will not stop watching new content, just because there's a lot of old content out there.

I feel that events like these should generally be accessible to the masses. I'm sure there will be scores of people who disagree. But, I still supported the PPV because I know that AZBtv does a good job and the field was star-studded.

PPV has its place in the industry, but I tend to lean on this model for special events. The Andy Mercer stream was a unique situation for me because the owner had apprehensions about his local clients not coming to the venue if it was 'live and free'. In a way, I disagree with this because there were so many champions in the field, the promotion of the venue to the masses would have come back to him, tenfold.

And, to answer your question - Selling ad space can be more difficult that you think on these streams.
