Steinway

Jerry has a great room. He owns the building and his tax basis is low. It’s long established and I wish it was 40 minutes closer to my house.

Jerry has no debt and doesn’t need a ton of biz to keep it going. Also he has enough $ that he doesn’t depend on it for a living.

He was smart during covid he took that time to freshen it up. Smart move. Jerry is a smart guy/biz man.

Sal lost his room due to covid as the landlord wanted rent and Sal couldn’t fade it. That’s a super sad story. There’s still pool in Ventura county.

LA not as much, not for a very long time. Mid 90’s pool was going along ok in LA.

I also go to Plush Pocket when I’m in town

They recently installed three Diamonds
Ok nobody’s perfect 😂😂😂

Jerry is a great guy. I send him a txt now and then.

His 5’s are orange. That’s what really matters.🧡🧡

All jokes aside. If I opened a room I’d have mostly Diamonds both sizes, not a 10’. And a few GC4’s.

In the town close by there's a store front that after a remodel would make a fantastic pool room , I'd make it similar to Brother's Billiards in Billings a few 4 1/2 ' x 9' tables and a 5' x 10' a snooker table and some bar boxes to just because I'd want to hear the company squeal because I'm not a huge fan of valley tables .
No food offered there but a drink vending machine and pool cue lockers to rent .
With a in house league and tournaments on a regular basis as well a off a class to the school kids to come in and learn to play pool well .
Just some random thoughts on my part .

Drive 5 hours to Sacramento and you have a completely different story. Sac is a pool players city. There’s deep roots in pool there, new guys coming into pool. I cut my teeth and earned my bones there in the mid to late 80’s and it’s still going strong. Sacramento is a completely different market.
We have at least 6 pool halls and numerous bar tables. We're fortunate.

Im in MA and the only pool hall within an hour of me had their lease illegally terminated and got thrown out of the building. She tried to save her business, but Someone with a lot of money and connections to the local good ol boys club made her go away.
Where are you in Ma? I am as well and have like 6 or 7 pool halls within an hour.

Where are these poolrooms? I don't think there's 6+ in the whole state.
I didn't claim that they were all in Ma. Within an hour I have The green rm in Uxbridge, Shooters in Worcester, Break away in Clinton, Snookers in Providence, Bo's in Providence, Run em rack in Johnston, Straight Shooters in Fall river, Amazin in Malden. 8 Right there all within an hour of my house. Plus there are a few more little ones in this area.

Athena is my friend, so I'm sharing this outside of FB.

Basically my idea but my county in New York state is giving me problems. My plan would be at least 10 9 foot tables, 5 inch pockets and at least 4-6 bar tables. I've got plenty of regional tours in the area who would love to have a room with open arms. Vending machines for me aswell and an area for eSports.

Again, sucks that my county thinks all pool halls are problem makers.
