howdy , would this cnc be a good option for inlays and or tapers, i did have a rage cnc but it was not mine and it had to be sold , i am also looking into maybe calling Jim or Dark horse cues but im trying to do my research before...

I don't see anywhere on their product page what software they are compatible with. With the 4th axis option it would be feasible, and if it uses standard gcode then most CAM software should work with it.

i see ok , well i dont want to spend my time modifyng but was thinking whynot have a cnc to do more than just cues... and then i read that taig lathe bed style. i would say my budgjet is bout 6k , but if i wait longer it might be 9k , i did chat with Carey Brace and sent detailed pics and i was very impressed ... so ill either buy his or keep looking for now..

9k?
Camaster CNC should do it.

i didnt wnt to set budjet so low that i end up geting something not well built , if i can buy one just for cues for under 6k then yes...

As configured at the base model, they use igus dry-lin screws. Not exactly a high precision option. Should be fine for tapering, but I'd be curious on the inlay application.

The Hiwin ballscrews would be better, but it's a thousand upcharge.
