Sterling wave case

I was checking out the sterling wave case's and checked all the post and threads on here but cannot find what I want to know. I am just wondering if there is much difference in the over all size between the 3x4 and the 4x8 cases? Now I do know there is going to be a difference , but just wondering if it's going to be a whole lot in the way it will look if they would be side by side or if it's just alittle ? There really isn't any place around anymore that sells cases that you can walk in and see them side by side to get an idea . I am just looking for a decent case for league nights so I dont gotta carry my good cases out and about, but I heard good things about over all construction of the case and they look decent also, If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I think I may order the 3x4 but if the 4x8 is almost the same size I would just get that one incase I would need more room on a occasion to transport some more cue's around . thanks << ED

I don't know if this will help, but I have the 4x8 and just measured the top: it's a fraction under 6" wide and a fraction under 4" deep. Because they use padded partitions to separate the cues and not tubes, the difference shouldn’t' be that great, but of course there would be some difference in the configuration. My suggestion is if you feel you may use a 4x8 in the future, I would get it. I'll bet it doesn't weigh much different than the 3x6.

Now maybe if someone can chime in who owns a 3x6, you can get measurement comparisons.

Anyone else have any sterling wave case's that may be able to tell me if there is alot of size difference between the 3x4 aqnd the 4x8. I just dont want something big and bulky and heavy again. <<ED

One holds 7 pieces. The other holds 12.

Yea I could do math since the first grade ! I was asking about over all size. As I stated earlier I know it will be larger but I seen Johns you=tube interveiw on the wave case and he talked about the case size .He says that they are compact compared to other cases but I just dont want something as big as my instroke 4x8 ...
