In the 1985 World Snooker Champs, a record 18+ million viewers tuned in until about 2 am to watch the match go down to the final black, in a race to 18.

In this video, Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor reenact this classic moment in sport's history and do so in a very entertaining way. These guys are true performers, on and off the table.

And take note of some of the shots Dennis Taylor makes as they hone in on the final moments. Any pool player has to be impressed.

Steve Davis's sense of humor shows that You Can't Judge a Book by It's Cover. Until watching this, I always thought he was a stoic. I wish we could see more pool matches where the players were allowed to have fun and entertain the audience...maybe then, there'd be an audience.

Thanks for posting it.

Great fun. If you haven't watched the real thing yet, I recommend watching it first, then the reenactment.

True, Steve Davis' pre-match interview is all the more enjoyable after seeing his post match interview in the real game.

A great moment in cue sport's history and the rematch episode is probably the most entertaining production I've seen in cue sports.
