She actually was a prominent player on the ladies tour during the Lori Jon Jones, Jean Balukas, and Robin Bell era. She also sometimes posts on CCB over on the Billiards Digest discussion forum.
I have seen her picture MANY times in the older billiard mags, and if I can find one, I'll post it up. She's very attractive in the pictures with her blond curly locks!
How old are you, Matt_24? Maybe when she was hitting 'em, it was a little before you were involved in pool. I don't know many of the older players from the '60s, and today, I don't know many of the international players. Sometimes it ain't such a small world!
JAM is absolutely right. Fran Crimi was the house-pro for recently-closed Corner Billiards in New York City. She is the only female BCA Master Instructor in the world. She's had a great deal of influence on a lot of players, especially locally but I'm sure beyond that. Her specialty is correcting mechanics and her advice has been sought by many professionals looking to isolate and correct any flaws they might have.
