poolfool1957 had a thread about steven powers,well i'm the guy that traded with him.he received my pred and pmed me to let me know and never sent the bludworth i traded for.we were to ship our cues on the same day.i did,he said his daughter was sick and he couldn't get to to po.i said no problem,take care of your daughter just keep me posted.two days later i pm him and ask if he shipped,he says sorry he hasn't however his girlfriend will ship it and he will send me a tracking #.last i heared from him.he hasn't been on since the 4th under his name.i called his home and it just rings and rings.i have contacted the paragould ar. police and they are looking into it.i should hear back from them soon.

i know i made mistakes with this trade.so if you please ,don't rub it in,ok?it look like this guy is a real douch bag.steals from me and uses his daughter and girlfriend in his crimes.steven if your reading this you need to know how much bad karma you bring on yourself useing your family that way,and stealing from me on this forum.in closeing,steven c powers is a thief and a liar and i want everyone to know that.george -aka magix-

Bad deal all the way around. I truely hope you get your cue back or the cue you traded for in the first place.

One thing about it is that this information is out there now thanks to you and others. These sort of people get banned, ie Sutton. Too bad there is no way to determine one's character or rate their values before doing a deal.
 
I bet he doesn't have a daughter or a girlfriend, he's just a POS thief with your cue. Sorry to hear another AZ member learning the hard way. IMO all trades should go through an escrow service. The one exception would be if you were dealing with someone you trust implicitly... Good Luck to the OP maybe it will work out...
 
George its sad that this happend to you...or anyone. For those not aware...George is indeed one of the good guys. I've had numerous dealings with George that were absolutley perfect. George...aka Magix...is a superb gentleman. He's the type that up until now...would send you the cue & allow you to pay later if you were in a bind. There simply isn't a better person on AZ to deal with than George. Partner I hope this works out for you...and I hope the New Year takes a turn for the better my friend! :)

Yep, that's bad stuff.....hate to see this for magix. Hopefully this guy will step up and do the right thing (or be forced to).

When someone is new to the forum with no itrader and they are engaging in a deal with someone with lots of itrader and a solid rep, there should always be someone 'driving the train'....the new person should send the trade or payment to the established member first, if there is no third party/escrow arrangement. These deals where cues are supposed to pass by in the night, each on the plane, sometimes don't turn out well for a myriad of reasons.

Actually I got the contact info from another Az'er. The only contact I had with this guy was through pm's here. He contacted me and wanted to trade a Predator P3 with 2 shafts for a McDermott I had listed. I said ok.....send me the Predator and if it looks good I'll do the deal.
The one and only reply I got from him after that was that he would send me the Predator ASAP. I have not heard from him since, I have not received the Predator. Neither of which suprised me all that much.
I wrote him off and then later received a pm from George (magix) wondering if I had info on the guy.

So as I said, I have been pm'ed contact info by another member. I forwarded that info to George. I hope it is good information and above all I hope George gets his cue back or the Blud.
If anyone is going to go public with the contact information for Steven Powers I would think it should be George so I defer to him.

I've done a couple of trades with George and spoken with him on the phone. He is a good, trusting guy and does not deserve this kind of BS.
 
The first deal I ever did with George was amazing. To the point that to this
day, if George needed my last $5, it would be his. That's what that guy
means to me! Anybody here on the forum live close to Paragould, Ar?
Jonesboro and Corning are in the area in Arkansas. I would pay a good
fella for gas, time and shipping to make a visit and get the cue back or
the cue that was promised and have it shipped to George.
 
I live in Paragould and know Steven Powers VERY well... He does have a newborn daughter and a GF (that part is true)... I'll talk to him and see what's going on... Hopefully this will all be straightened out soon...

you just send someone to come pick this cue up, Ill wait on them..... I just got off the phone with magix, this doesn't concern you. I made the mistake of being late and not staying in touch with him. i thought the cue was mailed but it wasn't, i apologized to magix for being late.

its true,steve and i had a talk and he is going to work it out.to my many friends on this forum i want to thank you for you concern and the nice things you said about me.and to ryan ,who i feel like a brother to.thanks.steve says he will put the bludworth in the mail tuesday and send me a tracking # i believe him.steve,don't be shocked by the responce of the people on this forum.it really is like family. george aka magix

So how do you explain trying to trade me a cue you did not even own? Not a very good start on Az. If you are going to do any more business on this site I strongly suggest that you clean up your act or you will have nothing but red rep. Good luck getting anyone to deal with you then.

I didn't try to take your cue, i just asked if you were interested in a trade for the mcdermott. you said yes mail me yours and if it is in great condition then we can make a trade. i said i would mail asap, well I haven't had time, therefore it hasn't been possible. I had intentions of sending the cue to you, just no time. I have nothing to explain to anyone except magix, and I have done that.

Does anyone still remember when your handshake meant something. No-one can fault you for being honest and trusting, don't lose the faith there are still lots of good people out there, hope this ends -up working out for you.

Yes you did indeed need to explain yourself to magix. May I suggest that you never again offer a cue you dont own. Since you made that offer to me I feel you had an obligation to follow up one way or another.
Just make things right with magix as you have said you will and your rep will improve with him.
