I'm not sure if "stick fast" is a particular brand that you're referring to or a synonym for "instant stick". In either case, cyanoacrylate (aka cyano) has indeed been used as a finish MANY times.
Search this forum for "cyano" and you'll find plenty of reading to keep you busy for the rest of the evening - if you're a FAST reader!
Yes, Stick Fast is a brand name used by Rockler for their cyno. Cyno is commonly used as a finish on cues. It's one of several methods used by cue builders for applying a finish to a cue. It can be a little brittle (not always but sometimes ) and may chip. Brfore building cues I collected them and owned a 2500. 00 cue from a famous builder that chipped on the butt. It bugged me so much that I had to refinish it. Using cyno.
The stick fast brand is used for the finish on pens. I have used it on shafts and JP's.... it is good stuff. They sell it in thin, med and thick..... I have only used the thin.
It also works for small pit repairs in finish. Get the their spray can kicker too.... the one in the bug bomb.
