Stinger cues

Hey guys just a quick question on my new pool cues,

iv just bought a Stinger jump/break cue and just a normal cue, they seem to be playing well but i was just wondering whats the general perception of Stinger cues, i am a complete rookie when it comes to buying cues,

got them at a resonable price and im not quite in the leagues of predator, mezz etc, okay to start out??
 
I don't know what your playing cue is but you've got a fine jump/break cue in your Stinger. Is it a Jerico or a McDermott Stinger??? I have a Jerico Stinger and am totally satisfied with it. Jerry Powers makes a very good product AND stands behind his workmanship. I don't know anything about the McDermott Stingers but from what I understand, it's the same basic cue as the Jerico, just sold under the Mcdermott nameplate.

You shoudn't feel the need for any jump/break cues for a while!!!

I will also chime in and say that the Stinger is a great J/B cue. We bought one for our club for the members to use so we didn't need to lug our equipment around (we all store a player at the club) and let me say it breaks a ton with decent cue ball control...jumps pretty easily as well, better with a stroking motion than the dart motion imo. I put a samsara break tip on it and it makes it that much better...really good cue ball control. You should be very happy with the Stinger.

My testimonial would not add anything new. I love my Jerico Stinger. Jerry fixed the shaft for free when I broke the tenon on it. Really fast turn around.

thanks for all the reviews guys, i forgot i posted this topic haha,

the stinger actually players quite well, the jump/break is solid, i was worried i might've got laughed at for having such a poor brand haha
 
McDermott is actually a very good Brand. And not for nothing if any1 laughs at you for a particular Brand they have no idea about cues. The Cue is just a weapon and only as good as the user.

There is nothing more amusing than wipping the table with a guy using a $1000+ cue and your using the house cue or a $50 cue or something.

And then on the other side of that. Getting spanked by that guy. Yes this has happened to me. I had my nice $1000+ cue and this dude grabs the ratty house cue and beats me like a red headed step child. Made for quite the embarrasment.

If the cue works for you. Use it and use it well.

I also have the Stinger Break and Love it.
