I own a sign company and I would get emails from a person acting like a customer wanting to buy 50 banners saying some bullsh... that didn't make sense like "CHURCH"
or "Well Soon" anyway the email was broken English and they used the alias of a Pastor or something, The gave 1-3 credit card numbers to run to pay for the banners. I just emailed them back and told those nigerian lowlifes to go "F" themselves.
Here's the scam....You are checking the card numbers for them since you have a CC machine, if it;s good and you take the money for the product and send the product to their givin address, you will be liable for the money you took and out of said product. The crooks spend as much as they can since they know the card is good.
This is duplicated through many types of businesses many different ways. Always find a way to verify before a transaction.
I had a Nigerian try to get me to send him 10,000 dollars onetime through some well thought out and heart wrenching story via email, I contacted him and said no problem but you will have to come to the nearest airport to pick it up, which was Atlanta, A few days later I get an email saying he's here at the airport and gives me his number to call him so we can meet. I wanted to drive there and take a baseball bat to his ass but instead I lead him on for about two days. Wasn't long after that these scams were hitting the news.
Not saying this is the case but it is one of many ways to get someone.
